We are looking for a dependable and energetic massage therapist to join our amazing team of health minded providers. This is a great SUPPLEMENTAL job to start – a few hours per week as new clients come on board! It can expand into a full-time position. We offer flexible scheduling Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am-8pm.
Massage Therapist Job Description
The Massage Therapist performs a full spectrum of massage, body treatments and complementary treatments for Medicine In Motion clients.
Massage Therapist Duties and Responsibilities
The ability to perform impeccable massage and body therapies.
Dedication to keeping current on any licensing changes and abiding to all rules and regulations associated with license, including renewals, CE’s and regulations regarding the display of your license.
Obtaining client health history through use of client intake forms and/or addendums, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with client on recommended treatments, intake forms should be returned to the front desk by the end of each shift.
Recording detailed notes for all clients within 48 hours of appointment date, including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations used and treatment preferences and any notable client information
Actively participating in sales and marketing events.
A commitment to participating in assigned tasks that are designed to grow therapist business and create repeat client requests.
Staying up-to-date and educated on Medicine In Motion services and promoting as appropriate to clients.
Maintaining correspondence with clients, including writing thank you notes and other treatment follow up communications to develop and retain repeat clients.
Completing side work and closing duties as directed by Office Manager.
The willingness to adhere to all Attendance and Punctuality policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
A current Texas Massage Therapy License (Required)
Professional Massage Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
CPR certified (Required)
Liability insurance (Required)
Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Must adhere to State licensing laws and regulations.
Have the ability to perform quality massage sessions within their scope of training and utilize proper draping protocols.
Are extremely dependable with excellent work ethics
Possess strong interpersonal abilities.
Must be customer service oriented and must greet MIM patients in a professional, friendly manner and create an excellent experience for them.
Are able to communicate effectively with other MIM team members and management.
Compensation: Starting at $25-$35 per hour
Flexible schedule between 7am-8pm Monday through Friday. Your schedule will be defined by your availability and client needs.
