About the Workshop:
Fabric of the Soul will utilize hands-on techniques and theory drawn from mindbody acupressure. Students will learn key acupressure points and areas of the body to amplify their own and their client's health. They will learn to correlate acupressure points with Western anatomical locations and trigger points. They will learn hands-on techniques to heighten their sensitivity to the client's state of mind as well as body. They will learn to see the overlaps of energy medicine and structural approaches to health. This hands-on work will also be useful as a form of preventative healthcare.
You will learn how to cultivate, access, and encourage the flow of energy in your bodywork and create a deeper sense of balance for you and your clients. The goal of this class is to instruct you to employ more ease and less force in your treatments utilizing practices that are over 5000 years old. Dr. Hubatch will discuss all phases of energy and how it applies to your bodywork, your wellness, and the wellness of your clients.
This class is derived from Dr. Hubatch’s book, Fabric of the Soul, covering the 8 Extraordinary Vessels guides which motivate a rich understanding of the relationships between mind and soul to physical ailments. This is the heart of extraordinary vessel theory - a tradition in Chinese medicine that yields knowledge about modern syndromes and illnesses affecting multiple body systems.
