About the Workshop:
After completion of 500hr training, therapists are ready to integrate more information and deepen their understanding of the interconnectedness of how they feel internally and what they feel under their hands during a session. As therapists we regularly assess posture, gait, mood, and general health of the client, but how often are we assessing the same criteria within ourselves? This class will delve into these ideas and provide tools for self-care as well as working body mechanics. We will explore some gentle movement and breath awareness to find some relief in our own bodies, and during session trades, we will find the delicate balance between effort and ease by refining our alignment. There will also be time allowed for participants to ask about their specific concerns about body mechanics and self-care so we can workshop them together.
