Neck pain accounts for a large percentage of visits to massage therapy offices. PNMT will help you consider all the possible musculoskeletal explanations that would explain his/her discomfort. Great problem-solving skills and a deep knowledge of functional anatomy are the keys to success. Additionally, PNMT for the Cervical Spine places an emphasis on the relationship of the cervical spine and neural excitability. We think you will
During the PNMT for the Cervical Spine seminar, you will begin with a review of very quick but highly accurate assessment approaches to help you direct treatment. Included in that assessment are Range of Motion and exclusionary muscle testing. You will then learn which muscles to address for each range of motion limitation and spend ample time treating them on multiple people. The focus is on real-world applications- increasing functional capacity as well as lessening discomfort.

Freely Moveable Joints is an advanced level Zero Balancing course that expands the focus of Zero Balancing from the foundation and semi-foundation joints of the body to include the “freely moveable joints” of the body. Zero Balancing principles and techniques are taken beyond the Core Zero Balancing protocol into other arenas. The freely moveable joints present unique therapeutic challenges because of the variety of their anatomy and their great ranges of motion. By the end of the program, you will have the skills to evaluate and balance freely moveable joints and the knowledge to devise your own fulcrums to meet the specific needs of a given situation.
In Freely Moveable Joints we will review basic ZB principles and highlight their application to a number of joints in light of their specific anatomy. The skills and education inherent in this course will broaden your Zero Balancing abilities and will improve your Zero Balancing sessions.
You Will Learn:
- Upper extremity: shoulder girdle, shoulder, elbow, wrist, fingers
- Lower extremity: knee, ankle, metatarsals, toes
- Accessing the sacro-iliac joint via the hip
- Acetabular hip fulcrum
- Temporomandibular joint fulcrum
- Direct bone fulcrums and ‘bone bending’
- Teachings designed to deepen your basic ZB skills and protocol use
- By exchanging Zero Balancing sessions and seeing ZB demonstrations

We are musculoskeletal beings, yet most therapists focus only on the muscular side of that equation. That addresses only half of that system! Zero Balancing (ZB) – adding a mindful focus on the bones, key joints, and the energy flowing through them, as well as on the soft tissues associated with them – gives you access to the deepest layer of the person, who they are in their bones. Zero Balancing adds wholeness to your work and your client’s experience and is the missing piece in the world of bodywork and bodymind therapies.

Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday and 9:30 am to 6:00 pm Sunday.
We live in a stressful world, and many of our clients come to us for stress relief, and to bring more balance into their lives. Sometimes the accumulated stress and anxiety can land more in our gut than any particular skeletal muscle (intestines are muscles, too). Ironically, addressing these core issues with techniques such as Bindegewebsmassage and Visceral massage is not that common yet, although interest is steadily growing.
The techniques you’ll learn in this 2-day workshop can gently and powerfully help restore autonomic imbalance and improve visceral function—and they feel good. Day 1 (Bindegewebsmassage) will focus on systematically working with the dermatomes that influence the abdomen, pelvis, and the parasympathetic nervous system. Day 2 will focus on direct manual techniques in the abdomen and upper pelvic area using soothing, pleasurable techniques.
Tuition $170.00 – 6 CE hrs
Friday, November 14th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
The history of reflexology can be traced as far back as ancient Egypt and to civilizations all over the world. It is a non-invasive holistic therapy that encourages the body to greater balance, or homeostasis. It involves applying finger, thumb or knuckle pressure to specific points or “reflexes” on the feet. These points are called “reflexes” because they reflect, or mirror, the organs and structures of the body. By applying direct pressure to the reflexes on the feet, it influences the health of the corresponding parts of the body encouraging the body toward homeostasis.
Reflexology has many benefits. The primary benefits include deep relaxation, improved cardiovascular and lymphatic circulation, pain relief and an enhanced sense of well-being.
In this Introduction to Reflexology course participants will gain an overview of the ancient and modern history of this pressure point modality. We will explore various theories of reflexology and how it works. The anatomy of the foot, including the bones, boney landmarks and other important anatomical markers will be reviewed. Mapping the locations of specific reflex points and techniques for applying pressure to the points will be taught. Lastly, the participants will be guided through a protocol to address each of the reflexes in a systematic order.
Tuition $180.00 – 6 CE hrs
Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
This continuing education course is designed for licensed massage therapists who want to deepen their understanding and refine their techniques when working with clients experiencing shoulder pain, dysfunction, or injury—specifically those related to the rotator cuff. The rotator cuff, made up of four key muscles—supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis—plays a critical role in shoulder stabilization and movement. Dysfunction in these muscles is common among athletes, desk workers, and individuals recovering from injuries or surgery.
In this course, participants will explore the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder complex with a focus on how rotator cuff issues develop. Through hands-on instruction, therapists will learn targeted soft tissue techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and active/passive movement strategies to safely address common conditions such as tendonitis, impingement, and restricted range of motion.
In addition to technique, the course emphasizes assessment skills—such as range-of-motion testing and palpation—to identify which specific rotator cuff muscles are involved. Therapists will also learn to recognize red flags and understand when to refer clients for medical evaluation.
This class is ideal for those who want to elevate their therapeutic outcomes, reduce client pain, and restore shoulder function more effectively. Whether you’re working in a clinical setting, sports environment, or wellness practice, this course provides practical tools and confidence to address one of the most commonly reported areas of musculoskeletal pain.
Tuition $350.00 ($175.00 Deposit) – 14 CE hrs
Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm both days.
Therapeutic Techniques to Eliminate the Low Back Pain
Chronic or severe low back pain is one of the most debilitating conditions a person can experience. Roughly two-thirds of the population will suffer from low back pain at some point in their lives.
Most therapists and medical professionals find working with this condition both frustrating and difficult—in part, because they fail to see the missing component to reducing, eliminating, and eradicating low back pain.
This comprehensive workshop unveils the missing piece of the puzzle to low back pain. As a result, participants learn how to precisely assess the most commonly injured structures in the lower back and to use effective therapeutic approaches to eliminate pain. Attendees gain the tools to successfully differentiate muscle, ligament, and disc injuries, and, as a result, fine-tune their palpation skills and hands-on techniques. Drawing from 50 years of experience as a therapist, educator, speaker, and author, Dr. Ben Benjamin enables all participants to discover the missing link that can solve a wide range of complaints linked to chronic and severe low back pain in this lab-intensive course.
Discover the missing link to chronic low back pain with one of the leaders in the rehabilitation field. In this lab-intensive course, participants learn effective techniques to reduce, prevent, and eliminate low back pain This comprehensive workshop will teach you how to effectively assess and treat the most commonly injured structures in the low back. You’ll learn how to differentiate muscle, ligament, and disc injuries, and you’ll fine-tune your palpation skills and hands-on treatment techniques. The workshop provides ample time to develop all the skills you need to address a wide range of complaints.
An integrative approach
There are six major components to the training:
- Anatomy: View and palpate the relevant musculoskeletal structures.
- Assessment: Practice musculoskeletal assessment tests and palpation of injured structures.
- Theory: Learn how to use the history, positive assessment test findings, and results of palpation to determine which structures are injured.
- Integration: After you’ve learned the theoretical background and assessment procedures, we integrate this knowledge through hands-on learning games.
- Technique: Apply effective techniques designed to eliminate adhesive scar tissue and enable proper healing.
- Clinic: During the training participants practice their skills by taking part in an injury assessment clinic, free and open to the public, under Dr. Benjamin’s supervision.
