Workshop Description

The Practical Ayurveda course is truly a one-of-a- kind seminar on the US scene. Ayurveda is the oldest and most famous Traditional Medicine in India which, despite the antiquity of its wisdom, offers incredible therapeutic possibilities in the modern world. Its medical relevance is such that it is not only recognized by the WHO but is still practiced and taught not only in India but in many other countries around the world. His techniques integrate perfectly with both other holistic practices and with those of modern medicine and are therefore a formidable help for any health professional.

The language of Ayurveda is an expression of Nature itself and is therefore universal and applicable in any cultural and environmental context. The central concept is that expressed by the principle that affirms the relationship between macrocosm and microcosm: “man is the measure of the universe, everything that is present in the environment is present in man, everything that is present in man is present in the environment”. On the basis of this principle, the preventive and therapeutic logic of Ayurveda is built. His techniques, therefore, arise from careful observation of the relationship between nature and living beings. His therapeutic maneuvers are inspired by the restorative and healing actions of nature and how it self-organizes and maintains itself. The latter characteristic constitutes the preventive root of any Ayurveda intervention and makes it a tool of great importance applicable in everyday life and professional practice.

Dr. Antonio Morandi MD and Carmen Tosto are internationally renowned Ayurveda experts and their Ayurvedic Point School, ISO9001 certified for teaching quality, has collaborations with leading Indian and international universities and institutions. In their over twenty years of activity Dr. Morandi and Carmen Tosto have trained hundreds of medical and professional technicians in Ayurveda and have held international courses and seminars.

The Practical Ayurveda course, although it necessarily has a theoretical part, is essentially practical in nature, made to be able to immediately transfer the knowledge acquired in everyday professional activity. The theoretical and above all practical elements learned in this course can be applied in all fields of personal care and health. The techniques learned will allow a new perspective of observing patients and their needs, allowing innovative care approaches and therapeutic strategies. Treatments will be introduced in this course that will form the basis for subsequent insights, but which will already be enough to revolutionize your practice.

You will learn the logic of the therapeutic mechanism of action of these extraordinary and unique treatments. Based on Ayurvedic’s unique patient observation and evaluation technique, you will be able to adapt and customize each treatment to their specific needs. You will experience and learn some of the Ayurvedic manual techniques and physical treatments such as the classic total body physical treatment called Sarvanga Abhyanga, the Siro Abhyanga, a special treatment for the head, and the Nala Abhyanga, a special treatment designed to combine Western psychophysical needs with the logic of Ayurveda. You will also learn the characteristics of the basic materials used for treatments and learn to choose the most appropriate ones based on the specific characteristics of the patients.

Practical Ayurveda  is a highly professional course that will transform your work and clinical perspective for a better relationship with patients and their state of health.
