Learn how to give a thorough, relaxing, therapeutic massage with heated smooth lava rocks in this Hot Stone Massage class. It is one of the most frequently requested treatments at spas around the world. This treatment is a perfect blend of hydrotherapy, Swedish, and Deep Massage techniques. The instructor will teach participants the benefits, indications, and contraindications for hot stone and how to correctly use and clean the equipment. Joy Sablatura, MA, LMT, MTI graduated from The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in 1996.  She started teaching hot and cold stone massage in 2005.  After many years of experience working at top-rated resort spas, including Four Seasons, Barton Creek Resort and The Crossings, she now has a private massage therapy and wellness coaching practice in South Central Austin.  She enjoys teaching hot stone and wellness classes nationally and internationally.  Joy also has a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology with a focus on Consciousness, Health and Healing.
